Kym Reed

If that name sounds familiar to you, we aren't surprised. Kym is Rochester salon royalty!

For 36 years she owned and operated two of Rochester's most iconic hair salons, World Hair and Blue Marble. In the cool barber chairs of her Park Avenue and East Avenue salons, a "who's who" of clients have "Walked In and Rocked Out."

She raised up a generation of stylists, many of whom have even gone on to own their own salons. For nearly four decades, Kym took no greater sense of satisfaction than to see her stylists succeed and flourish, equipping them with not just the tools of the trade but also lessons in life in equal measure.

Now she focuses this same nurturing energy solely with her clients. If you feel like Kym cares about you, it's because she does. Kym is equal parts talented artist, wise sage, skilled practitioner and caring friend.

When you sit in Kym's chair, you will look better and feel better as well!

Kym and her sweet, lovable dog-daughter, Phoebe, reside in the Southwedge neighborhood just walking distance from the salon.

Michelle Ingram

Michelle is a talented and passionate artist with over twenty years of experience. She is a gifted colorist and loves a color challenge. She excels whether she is adding subtle highlights to perfectly accent a new haircut, or taking on a difficult indepth & complicated color correction.

Michelle is a self-professed "education junkie." She is always attending classes and seminars on different and new product lines and the latest techniques & trends.

Michelle began her love affair with color early as a teenager, despite one of her earliest experiences coloring her own hair with supermarket box color and accidentally turning her hair brown, auburn AND GREEN! Probably because of this her father advised her to go to business school, but she secretly attended Cosmetology School anyway! Today her father brags not only about her success in business, but her expertise as a hair colorist. Perhaps that early haircolor disaster is the inspiration why she loves to fix other people's color mishaps!

Michelle is an avid reader, devouring anything by Jody Picoult. She loves to bake, so one of her favorite weekend activities is mixing up a batch of chocolate chip cookies with her kids. She is obsessed with Johnny Depp, can't resist brownies, and loves a Cosmopolitan Martini. (although not necessarily, and probably not all at the same time.)

Michelle lives in Webster with her son Sam, twin daughters Ava and Molly, little black cat Reggie Baby, and rescue-dogs Lucky and Bean.

Jason Christopher

Jason has a passion for beauty, fashion & style. Every moment is another opportunity for the celebration of life; in nature, architecture, dining, couture and of course, in personal style. As a third generation hairstylist with over two decades of experience, hairstyling is literally in his blood!

Jason has a unique ability to create and capture his client's individual style. He builds his client's confidence by helping them express their own personal style, while still always offering opportunities to "change it up" or try something new!

Jason will make you smile! He will make you laugh. His genuine warmth and upbeat demeanor can fill a room. Spend just a few minutes with Jason and you'll realize he cares about people more than just as clients, but as friends.

He is drawn to strong iconic figures; Madonna, Meryl Streep, James Dean. He enjoys a "buttery" Chardonnay, a Cosmopolitan Martini, his mother's sauce and Dots candy.

Jason loves city living and loves living in Rochester in particular, for all it has to offer: urban hiking, biking, abundant fine dining, and theatrical and musical performance. He and his husband live with their loving and affectionate silky terrier, Evie, at their home in the Winton Village neighborhood.

Michael Avery

Michael is a talented artist with nearly 30 years experience. Working most of his career in small, neighborhood salons in Rochester's Southwedge, Michael prefers an intimate atmosphere with a focus on individual attention.

Michael has worked as an educator and platform artist with the design team for the former Professional Nexxus Salon Products, honing his skills working with some of the top national design artists.

Michael prides himself in creating "wearable hair." That is, styles that his clients themselves are able to make look fantastic beyond their salon visit. He enjoys teaching, giving his clients the tips, tricks and tools that will make them look their very best!

Michael prefers Rochester city living for the many parks, trails, ever-expanding vegan eats and cultural opportunities all within walking distance. He loves walking his dogs along the river, gardening, and spending quiet moments taking in the beauty of Highland Park.

Michael loves adventure travel and is passionate about animal advocacy. He loves smokey jazz, blues, folk and country music. He prefers dark chocolate, an extra dirty martini, and a "multi-faceted" Cabernet.

Michael lives in the Southwedge neighborhood with his cute but not-very-bright poodles, Watson and Mundee (which means brainless girl in Malayalam)
